The French Building was the first structure built on the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg's land. It opened in 1967 and has housed 3 telescopes: a society made 12" Dall Kirkham Cassegrain, followed by a 16" Cave Newtonian Reflector, and currently a 17" Classical Cassegrain. The dome is made by ASH Dome, which is a company that has no ties to ASH, the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg. What a unique relationship via abbreviations!
