The Doghouse: Part of the solar heliostat telescope
| Description | : | One of the unique pieces of equipment the Society built was a 6" Solar Heliostat Telescope. The metal box attached to the building contains a mirror that is aimed at the sun that mirror then reflects the suns light to a mirror in the structure at left, the light is then reflected into the Asper Administration Building through a lens which projects the suns image onto a screen. The system has a drive and drive corrector installed to track the sun. |
