The Culver Roll-Off Building was built in the late 1970's and houses our 12.5" Cave Newtonian Telescope. The building was constructed so it sloped downward and did not obstruct the Southern Horizon when the roof was rolled down. ASH designed this building from the ground up and was one of the first groups to build an observatory using this design. Many observatories have visited us and asked us to supply plans to build an observatory of similar configuration. Photo courtesy of Linda Sweger.
