Asper Administration Building and Maintenance Shed
Description
:
The Asper Administration Building is named after Bert Asper. Bert was a key driving force in building the buildings at the observatory and supplied much of the labor to build the French Dome and the Administration Building. He was skilled in masonry work. The building serves as the administrative headquarters for the Society and houses Society classes and other functions. The building also features our 6" Solar Heliostat (Projector) Telescope. The building was built in the late 60's by dedicated members of the Society. Renovations throughout the years have maximized space within it, but we are currently attempting to raise funds to more than double the size of the building in a thorough expansion and renovation.
