Our popular beginner's course for those 14 or older is now in its 36th year! Learn about visual sky watching, use of binoculars and small telescopes and how to take pictures of the night sky. Get to use the larger telescopes of the ASH observatories and enjoy informal after-class observing with Society members and their telescopes. Participants are encouraged to bring their own telescopes and binoculars.

The course will be held on nine consecutive Wednesdays beginning April 2. Sessions are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Observatory, followed by observing with telescopes if the sky is clear. Instructors are experienced sky watchers from the Society. The provided texts are Peterson's Stars & Planets, Edmund Scientific's Star & Planet Locator and Sky Publishing's ESSCO Constellation Charts.
